Baseball and Fireworks!

Jon and I spent the 4th of July with Seth and Michelle at the Rangers Game! It was a little hot and sticky, but what better way to celebrate America than attending a Texas Rangers baseball game?!? The crowd was sporting their red, white and blue while I sat patriotic in teal. Most people were eating hot dogs and drinking beer. I had chicken fingers, fries and a Coke Zero.

So I might not have been completely in the spirit, but during the firework show I did sing along to all the words of "God Bless the USA" (if that's the title). you know how it goes..."And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me and I proudly stand UP next to you and defend her still today. Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land...God bless the USA". I know you're singing along now too! The ballpark put on the BEST firework show I think I've ever been to! 10 minutes or so after the game, they turned off all the stadium lights, which was cool and started playing all kinds of patriotic songs to go along with the fireworks. It was fantastic!

When we were leaving the ballpark, I spotted a big new sign that said "Season Ticket Holder Hall of Fame." I was curious to see if my dad was listed and sure enough, The Kaufman Company, Inc. was listed under 1984, the year they became season ticket holders. So cool!!! It's crazy to think we've been going to the same seats since I was one year old!

We had a great time with Seth and Michelle and I would definitely go to another 4th of July game. On Sunday we went over to my parents to hang out and grill out! It was pretty yucky outside so we didn't go swimming, but Jon and Cole played outside making bubbles!

And Lyric made this beautiful and delicious dessert! (Not pictured was the yummy banana pudding she made too!) Thanks Sister!

I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday weekend!!!

  1. You know the Rangers aren't now playing in the same ballpark as they were in 1984 right? :)
